What is a mystery shopper?

A Mystery Shopper is a person who poses as a real customer whilst assessing customer service provided by a company or organisation. An assignment might be a quick visit to the bank to make a general enquiry, or it might be an overnight stay at a hotel. As well as visiting places, we also do telephone calls, emails, posts on social media sites, letters, website enquiries and even home visits.
